Portugal 2020 will strengthen support to enterprises up to EUR 800 million
The re-programming of the European Union funds of Portugal 2020 envisages the reinforcement of support to the companies up to 800 million euros, bringing the overall investment to 5 billion euros.
The announcement was made by the Minister of Planning and Infrastructures, Pedro Marques, at the end of the meeting of the Territorial Coordination Council in Lisbon.
The Minister also said that this incentive scheme of up to 800 million euros will be possible through an “innovative financial instrument and an additional incentive system”, and that reprogramming “will make European Union funds help to stimulate private enterprise investment “.
Support for Professional Qualifications, reinforcement of investment in heavy urban transport systems and local investments in schools, health centers and recovery of heritage are other priorities for Portugal 2020 reprogramming.
The Minister of Home Affairs, Eduardo Cabrita, the Deputy Minister, Pedro Siza Vieira, the Secretary of State for the Treasury, Álvaro Novo, and the Secretary of State for Development and Cohesion, Nelson de Souza, also attended the meeting.
